Me in 2025...and 2019. It's been quite the healing journey.

Today officially marks 10 years since the first training session of Wing Chun MD. A week before, I hosted an info session looking to recruit a few students to get started. 5 people showed up for that, and 5 people joined! And so it began.

We were training out of the activity room of a local gym at that time. We had one large suitcase of equipment that we rolled out from a closet. I had a plan to save up and move into a private space within 5 years. In two years, we were able to move into our first kwoon (training home). 3 years after that, we officially moved into our current home in Silver Spring, MD.

Several hundreds have trained at Wing Chun MD. A small few have stayed around to become long-term students. Hundreds more in the martial arts community have attended sparring sessions and live training events that we've hosted over the years. It's been quite the journey so far. And in many ways, we are just getting started.

Thank you to all who have contributed to the longevity of Wing Chun MD.
