We are deeply saddened by the passing of Margaret "Peggy" Doheny, PhD, RN, CNE, FAAN.

Peggy devoted her career to advancing nursing through education, mentorship, and leadership. During her 35 years at Kent State University's College of Nursing, she inspired generations of nurses, and through her work as an accreditor for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), she helped strengthen nursing education programs across the country.

Her legacy lives on in the countless nurses she taught, mentored, and encouraged throughout her remarkable career.

Our heartfelt condolences are with Peggy's family, friends, former students, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
