True artists strive to make the world a better place. is officially a new hero for the next generation of artists in music. Her demand at the 67th Grammy Awards, that record labels offer livable wages and health coverage to new artists, would be a revolution in the music industry globally if implemented.
The standing ovation that followed her demand speaks for itself and reflects how popular it is. One can only hope that the tone-deaf executives at the labels are capable of embracing new ways of doing things. For generations, major labels have operated in only one way: exploitation of artists to make the leaders as rich as possible. What Chappell Roan is proposing would make good business sense for both artists and labels, but it will take visionary leadership to see that. Are there any visionaries left at the labels?

IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER!
See this beautiful glowing azalea next to me? A couple of years ago, it was dry, broken, and frankly looking more dead than alive, to a point that I came close to uprooting the whole thing, but decided to prune off the dead parts and keep it. Long story short, over time it got its mojo back, and today it looks like a shining star. Her story has a message for everyone: don't ever count yourself or anyone else out prematurely, because life is a marathon, not a sprint. You may be going through hard times today but that's not necessarily the end of your story. Keep dreaming, keep persistently pushing forward, because you too could come out of your struggles looking like a shining star.
As we are approaching the end of another epic musical journey with hundreds of artists and bands from around the region, this is playing last weekend.
