Before Magnum and Uni get to do one of their favorite things in the world-run free on the golf course-they wait calmly for one word:

They know exactly what’s about to happen.

They are excited.

And they still wait patiently until they are released, one at a time.

To me, that’s what great training looks like.

Not dogs that are afraid to make a mistake.

Dogs, that clearly understand what’s expected of them.

I believe clarity creates confidence.

And confident dogs earn freedom.

The second clip shows him at 10 months old, fully off-leash trained and being recalled away from chasing the geese.

The third clip was filmed recently with 5 year old Magnum recalling from 100 yards away.

Magnum comes enthusiastically, sits directly in front of me, and is happy to be there.

This isn’t luck.

It’s years on consistency.
