Development Solutions & Services, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the role of a Builder Risk Engineer in their Florida market. The qualified candidate must have extensive experience with mid- and high-rise residential construction.

The role of the Builder Risk Engineer is similar to that of a "Third Party Peer Review Inspector." The Builder Risk Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the builder's onsite management, insuring the construction practices meet local code requirements, manufacturer's installation instructions and plan details. Strong communication skills and knowledge of construction practices are a must.

Minimum qualifications:

1) The person performing the work as described above, has completed not less than five years of verifiable experience in the appropriate field and has obtained current certification as a building inspector, combination inspector, or combination dwelling inspector from the International Code Council (ICC) and has successfully passed the technical written examination promulgated by ICC for those certification categories.

Or

2) The person performing the work as described above, has completed not less than five years of verifiable experience in the appropriate field and is a registered professional engineer, licensed general contractor, or a licensed architect rendering independent quality review of the work of improvement or plans examination services within the scope of his or her registration or license.
