Hey there, - The Sawmill Creek Road Resurfacing and Pedestrian Improvements project is getting underway! This week, Secon will begin utility locates throughout the project corridor (see map). There will be single-lane closures during working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. This will occur until work is complete. Please use caution when traveling in work zones. Watch for and follow directions from construction signs and flaggers when present throughout the construction zone. A project website is coming soon - stay tuned.

The road crew will be working this evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. on the sawmill creek rd project.
Indian River rd intersection will be a one lane access only. Please watch for signs and follow flagger direction for access and egress of Indian River rd.
Jarvis street intersection will be closed, watch for signs and flaggers, please follow detour to smith street for access and egress.
These operations will begin this evening at 5:pm until completed.

Work on Sawmill Creek Road continues. The sidewalk work should complete today, and the crew will begin removing asphalt from the roadway tomorrow. Haul truck traffic will increase during the next two phases of the project. Milling of the existing asphalt will take place Thursday the 6th through Saturday the 8th. Vehicular traffic should expect delays when traveling through the project corridor from Jeff Davis Street to Smith Street. Anticipated paving of the road will begin on Monday night the 10th, weather permitting. During the first night of paving, Jarvis and Smith street will be closed at Sawmill Creek road. This means vehicular traffic will need to use Price Street to Beardslee Street to access locations on Jarvis and Smith Street. A map of this detour is attached. Mainline paving is anticipated to take 2 nights, weather permitting.
