Team Combustion is heading to the world championships

This past weekend, Team 1912 Combustion robotics, made up of students from Northshore, Salmen, and Slidell High School, attended the Rocket City Regional where they were the captain of the 3rd place alliance and won the Gracious Professionalism Award, qualifying for a place at the FIRST World Championships in Houston!

On February 25th, we journeyed out to UNO's campus for their Engineering Day! We met with a few of our sponsors, and spent a lot of time getting to know about the jobs and industries these engineers are a part of. Thanks to University of New Orleans for hosting it!

Honored to welcome Mayor Randy Fandal and his wife to our build space today! We gave a full tour, explained our robot, and shared what Team 1912 is building this season. Strong community support matters.

We're proud to announce that 1912 Combustion had an absolutely phenomenal weekend at the Red Stick Rumble, hosted by Denham Venom. We finished 2nd overall in qualifications, the highest we have been since the 2019 Deep Space season!

Our drive team fought their way through eliminations with our partners Denham Venom’s B-Bot Dreadnought and Team 2221 FHS Robodawgs before being knocked out in the 4th round of semifinals.

This was a great way to close out the REEFSCAPE season, and we are proud of all the hard work our students put in to make it possible.

Team 1912 Combustion is excited to launch our new initiative: Monthly Women in STEM Days! These events aim to highlight and celebrate the incredible women who have dedicated their lives to making contributions to STEM fields. We’re committed to fostering a supportive environment where these trailblazing women can share their knowledge, inspire the next generation of STEM leaders, and empower others to pursue their passions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics!
