Crossfire Church - Slidell

Greetings: "Sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me." This phrase is used when people are hurt by others.But, is this a true statement?

Words have power! They are like arrows fired
to praise God, encourage, inspire strengthen, motivate.
Or they can be arrows fired to express anger,
bitterness, unforgiveness and can hurt, injure and destroy relationships.

We choose how to use that power!
Let's learn to fire arrows that cause us
to look more like Jesus when they land.

PROV.18:21 The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

The Lord's presence is changing lives

FB Family: The Bible says that all human beings are born "In Adam" with a sinful nature. When we're born again though, we're now new creations "In Christ" right?

The Apostle Paul says that we still have a war within us. "In Adam" wants to control our lives to the point that
"In Christ" is unrecognizable at times. Then Satan attacks our minds with doubt that we are even saved.

This causes God's people to be disillusioned, discouraged, depressed. But the Lord reveals to us that there are two powerful truths (weapons) that will enable us to stand up, speak up, cause the enemy to shut up!

GAL.2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ.
It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Things are not falling apart as you may suppose,
but are falling into place for His return. Look up!

FB Family: Since the fall of mankind in the Garden,
sin has produced war. War has been responsible for
millions of deaths over 1000's of years.

Spiritual war has been responsible for millions rejecting God and losing any hope of eternal life.

Living life without truly knowing God and following Him causes defeat, discouragement, depression, despair,
a war for eternity.

But turning to Him will suddenly summons the
King of Kings and He has never lost a battle!

But now, the war is on for our minds. The King has a battle plan to defeat Satan's attempt to build strongholds, prisons, to capture our thoughts.

PROV.4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
