Snow in Hawaii!?!
Yes, you read that right- these are current (captured Jan 6th at 9:06am local) sunrise images of Mokuʻāweoweo, the summit caldera of Mauna Loa volcano and the highest reaches of Mauna Loa mountain in the US State of located in the central Pacific. Up to 10 inches of snow fell on these peaks as a “Kona Low” bombarded the islands with abundant moisture and relatively cool temperatures. Nature is amazing!
