Trump drops IRS lawsuit, paving the way for a settlement 05/18/2026

CORRUPTION IN PLAIN SIGHT

The Trump Justice Department just announced a $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" to compensate those who claim they were "wrongfully prosecuted" by the Biden administration—part of a settlement after Trump dropped his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS for releasing his tax returns.

Let that sink in: The administration that has most brazenly weaponized the Justice Department is now using taxpayer money to reward Trump allies—potentially including those convicted and pardoned for their roles in the January 6 insurrection.

This fund will be run by a five-member commission appointed by Trump's attorney general. Trump can fire any member. And it operates until December 2028—right before his term ends.

This isn't policy. It's a grift. And Democrats are calling it what it is: an unconstitutional "slush fund" that violates separation of powers because Congress never appropriated this money.

One of the core issues of my campaign was accountability—holding the corrupt accountable through independent, honest investigations, regardless of party. The ongoing misuse of power to reward criminal acts must be stopped.

Any member of Congress who doesn't move to reclaim these funds and hold the President and his allies accountable for this corruption should be voted out in November. That includes Max Miller in Ohio's 7th District.

This is what I'll keep fighting against on this page. Corruption is corruption, no matter who's in power.

A NEW CHAPTER

After the election, I pledged not to fade away. In that spirit, I've changed this page from "Eisner for Congress" to "Eisner for Democracy."

The campaign may be over, but the work isn't. Throughout this election cycle and beyond, I'll stay engaged on the issues and events that matter most to you—healthcare, education, workers' rights, reproductive freedom, and protecting our democratic institutions.

This page will continue to be a space for thoughtful discussion, holding our leaders accountable, and fighting for the values we share.

Together, we remain a voice for democracy and a voice for all.

WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!

Over the past 14 months, we've built something special here—a community of people who care about affordable healthcare, strong public schools, workers' rights, and a government that actually works for working families.
That doesn't end because one election didn't go our way.
I'm keeping this page active to:

* Support Democrats in November (we need to flip both houses of Congress, win as many statehouse seats as possible, and take back statewide offices)
* Keep fighting for the issues that drove our campaign
* Stay connected with all of you
* Keep our movement alive

If you believed in our message, stick around. The fight's not over.

To the people of Ohio's 7th District —

While this is not the outcome our campaign hoped for, I want every volunteer who knocked on a door, every donor who invested in our message, and every voter who came out to support us to know: your belief in our campaign means everything to me, and it will not be forgotten.

Running to represent this district has been one of the greatest honors of my life. The people I met—in every corner of Ohio's 7th District—reminded me every single day why this work matters. The challenges facing families here are real, and they deserve a representative who actually fights for them.

My team, family, and I know how important it is to offer our complete support to Brian Poindexter in the battle ahead so that we can flip this district. Ohio's 7th has been held by Republicans for too long, and this November, we have a real opportunity to change that.

The issues that drove our campaign—lowering costs for families, fixing our broken healthcare system, securing reproductive rights, protecting public education, and fighting for workers' rights—are exactly what's on the line.

I will be doing everything in my power between now and November to make sure Democrats up and down the ticket win their races and bring back the values to Ohio that made us who we are.

Thank you everyone.

I am very confident I have what it takes to beat Max Miller. We need more than talking points... we need real solutions, the ability to have productive conversations, knowledge about ALL issues and the experience necessary to articulate arguments in Congress as well as read / interpret legislation.

I have 30 years' experience fighting for the underserved. People are hungry for a representative who will truly speak for them and has the ability to persuade all parties - as I have for decades.

I'm proud of emails like these from voters who feel they can cross the political divide and vote for me.

I hope I've earned your vote as well.
