Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
July 12th, 2026
Readings:
Is 55:10-11, Rom 8:18-23, Mt 13:1-23

A message from our pastor, Fr. Lijoy...
Every human life tells a story. In fact, each one of us carries thousands of stories within us. Some stories are filled with laughter and joy; others are marked by tears, sacrifice, disappointment, and hope. Every life is a unique narrative written day by day. Perhaps the most important question we can ask ourselves is this: If your life were one of God's parables, how would it be written? What would it teach others about faith, forgiveness, and love?
Jesus knew the power of stories. That is why He so often taught through parables—as a way of proclaiming the timeless wisdom and eternal truths of God. Among His many parables, the Parable of the Sower beautifully reveals this divine wisdom. It contains three essential elements: the Sower, the seed, and the soil.
Now place yourself within that parable. Imagine that you are the seed—precious in the eyes of God, planted with purpose, and called to grow and bear fruit in the world. Yet, you were planted in difficult circumstances. Maybe your family experienced struggles, loss, illness, or broken relationships. Perhaps you found yourself in places where faith seemed weak or hope was scarce. Yet here you are. By God's grace, you have continued to grow. That is the quiet miracle of grace. God's life within us gives the human spirit an extraordinary resilience. Like a tiny seed pushing through hard soil toward the sunlight, we grow because God never stops nurturing us.
But the Gospel also asks us to examine the soil of our hearts today. Have the worries of life become thorns that choke our joy? Have disappointments made our faith shallow? Have we become distracted from the voice of God? The Good News: God continues to sow His Word with hope and generosity. Every day is another opportunity to become rich soil where His love can take deep root and bear abundant fruit. May our lives become living parables of God's grace.

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
July 5th, 2026
Readings:
Zec 9:9-10, Rom 8:9 11-13, Mt 11:25-30

A message from our pastor, Fr. Lijoy...
As our nation begins celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States, we give thanks for the blessings of freedom, the sacrifices of those who built and defended this country, and the enduring ideals of liberty, justice, and human dignity. At the same time, the Gospel reminds us that every nation is strongest when its people place their trust in God. It is especially meaningful to remember that the Catholic Church in the United States has dedicated our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, entrusting our people to His infinite love and mercy. In the Heart of Christ, we find the source of true healing, unity, and hope.
Jesus invites us: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest." He reveals that God's wisdom is given not to the proud or self-sufficient, but to those whose hearts are humble, trusting, and open to His grace. True freedom is more than political independence; it is the freedom that comes from knowing Christ, who frees us from fear, sin, and despair.
Our country faces many challenges and divisions. Lasting peace and unity will not come through human strength alone but through hearts transformed by the gentle and humble Heart of Jesus. As we celebrate our nation's heritage, let us renew our dedication to the Sacred Heart by living as faithful disciples who bring Christ's compassion, justice, and hope into our families, our communities, and our nation.
May God continue to bless the United States of America. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, under her title of the Immaculate Conception, Patroness of our nation, and under the loving protection of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, may our country grow in faith, hope, charity, and peace.
