I went ahead and deployed the new CDN for the morning service. I like repurposing old hardware (especially when it saves money).

This box is running Debian (free Linux operating system), Nginx (to serve up the RTMP feeds), and Stunnel4 to do the SSL/TLS connection to Facebook. The hardware is an old i5 HP Desktop that we had laying around.

I am really happy with this setup. We had been paying for a CDN and it was fine for a while, but we started having trouble. The streams would drop frames (usually in the evening) and during holiday services (Christmas, Easter, etc..) we were lucky to be able to use it.

We were able to get the new camera and audio configured. This camera is on the more "inexpensive" side of things, but it does a great job.
