The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the entirety of Somerset County. The majority of Somerset County is at a level 3 of 4 for the possibility of flash flooding. Thunderstorms that are forecast to hit Somerset County can produce rainfall rates of 2" per hour or greater.

What does a flash flood warning mean? A Flash Flood Warning is issued when a flash flood is imminent or occurring. A flash flood is a sudden violent flood that can take minutes to hours to develop. If you are in a flash flood warning, immediately move to higher ground if possible.

Always remember to never drive into Flood Waters! Turn Around, Don't Drown!
