NJ parents, this daycare tour checked boxes I didn’t expect.

We toured (Somerville, NJ) while looking at daycare options for our girl since I MIGHT be heading back to work and I was genuinely impressed.

What made them stand out was how they use the Conscious Discipline approach to help kids build emotional regulation and problem solving skills, and each classroom has a place where children can reset when needed.

Security stood out right away. There were two locked entry doors with code only access.

Other highlights:
• NJ teacher-student ratios
• Bathroom in every classroom
• Mother’s room for breastfeeding moms
• 6,000 sq ft fenced playground (separate little/big kid areas)
• Indoor gym
• Before & after care + school busing
• Drop-in care available (with updated immunizations)
• Hours: 6:30 am - 6:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
