Grumpy Bobas

✨Our story began with a wish, and now, we are preparing to close a cherished chapter of Grumpy Bobas.

Seven years ago, we visited the birthplace of boba, Taiwan, to dive deeper into the roots of this beloved beverage as we prepared to open our cafe. In Shifen, we wrote “success for Grumpy Bobas” on a sky lantern and released it into the air. We’re incredibly grateful to say that, in our hearts, that wish came true.

Since opening our shop six and a half years ago, we’ve had the honor of sharing bubble tea—a treat from our culture—with our amazing community. Along the way, we met so many kind and generous people, and we were especially blessed to work with some of the most talented, passionate, and inspiring individuals we call Team Grumpy.

However, due to relocation to another state, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our cafe. Our last day will be this Sunday, December 15th.

This isn’t goodbye—but a “see you soon.” While this chapter is closing, we’re excited to keep Grumpy Bobas alive in new ways! We’re looking to launch our merch on an online platform. Please stay tuned for updates in the near future.
