I just recently found out that Google Play Music will be shutting down for good and will be replaced with YouTube Premium. While this is okay and I'm sure it will be suitable for many, you have to have a YouTube Premium membership to be able to transfer your existing library over or lose it. The only other option you have is to download your library to your computer. I am going to list below the instructions for transferring your library Google Play Music to YouTube Premium and how to download your Google Play Music library to your computer. The service will begin shutting down in September and is set to terminate in December.

To transfer your library, you simply download and install the Google Play Music manager and follow the instructions.

Download and install Music Manager
On your computer, go to the Music Manager download page.

Click Download Music Manager.
Follow the installation directions.
