Menopause isn’t the problem, outdated advice is.

Most women come to me thinking menopause ruined their metabolism and there’s nothing they can do about it.

They’re eating less than ever, working out more than ever, and still gaining weight. They feel defeated.

But menopause isn’t a death sentence for your metabolism. Yes, your hormones are changing. Yes, your body responds differently now. But that doesn’t mean weight loss is impossible, it means you need a strategy that works with your body, not against it.

For 20 years, I did step aerobics religiously. I thought I was doing all the right things to stay fit.

But at 38, I entered an online transformation challenge that introduced me to weight lifting. After just 3 months, I compared my before and after photos and I was stunned.

The “before” version, after two decades of cardio, was soft, mushy, and covered in cellulite. The “after”? I was toned, tight, and strong.

That was my wake up call.
Now, at 63, I’m proud of the body I’ve built. The muscle, the energy, the confidence.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me 20 years earlier:

Cardio alone won’t give you the body you want after 40.

More muscle equals a faster metabolism. Strength training protects your joints, improves your posture, increases bone density, and actually reverses the signs of aging.

If you’re over 40 and still relying on cardio for weight loss, you’re working harder, not smarter. You don’t have to accept decline as the norm.

You can be strong, vibrant, and proud of your body, at any age.
