The Holy Ghost Prep ice hockey team erupted for four first period goals in a 5-1 win over Father Judge in the opening round of the 2024 Flyers Cup tournament. A.J. Prete had two goals for the winners, while Jake McCaw, Joseph Kaufmann, and Joe Spadaccino also tallied one goal apiece for the Firebirds. HGP goalie Jack Unger stopped 23 of Judge's 24 shots. With the win, the Firebirds advance to the Flyers Cup semifinals against La Salle on March 14 at Hatfield Ice.
