One of the strongest reminders from Sunday was that we may be one connection away from stepping further into what God has assigned to us.

Pastor Jon pointed to moments in Scripture where a single encounter changed the direction of someone’s life. Moses turned aside at the burning bush. Elisha felt the mantle of Elijah. Philip was sent to one man in a chariot, and that encounter carried the gospel into a nation.

God still works through divine connections. Sometimes He uses a person, a conversation, a church family, or a moment of obedience to pull us further into purpose.

The question is not just who is around us, but who has God connected us to?

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

Sunday’s message ended with a reminder that we are not in Egypt anymore.

In Egypt, the people had to water the ground by their own labor. They had to work the land, carry the burden, and depend on their own strength to make things grow. But the land God brought them into was different. It was a land flowing with milk and honey, a land that required trust, obedience, and dependence on the Lord’s care.

That is an important word for us. God is not calling His Church to build His house in the flesh. He is calling us to love Him, love His Word, worship Him, stay planted, and serve faithfully while He brings the increase.

There is work for us to do, but it is not the anxious striving of Egypt. It is the faithful service of sons and daughters who trust the Father with what He has planted.

This garden is going to grow because it belongs to Him.
