Humble Design Detroit

It’s been quite a journey for our client, who has persevered through so much to get where she is today. After leaving an unsafe relationship, she found herself in a house with mold, which made it unlivable. In the midst of it all, she has had hip surgery and is recovering from that as well. Thanks to our partners at The House of Kadence, she’s now in a healthy and safe home, and on the road to recovery physically. She’s also finishing up her prereqs at community college so she can go to nursing school next year!

Not only a student, Diedre does nails and makeup, and we were able to set up an in-home salon space with a playroom next door so she can take care of her clients while her daughter plays nearby.

We were overjoyed to be a small part of this story of determination and resilience! The sky’s the limit, Diedre. Welcome home!

A BIG thank you to Health Alliance Planfor spending the day with us! Their team worked tirelessly to help create a special home for our client and her three wonderful children.

From making beds and cleaning furniture to assembling and repairing pieces, every task was done with care and dedication to make the day a success.
The best part of the day was welcoming the family home. After several challenging years, Mom is ready to begin a new chapter and focus on growing her hair business.
Her daughter was thrilled to have a room of her very own, and the boys were so excited about their new bedroom that they declared they were ready for bed at 2:00 in the afternoon!
