In celebration of some milestone events that included our 36th wedding anniversary and my husband‘s 75th birthday, my family planned a wonderful trip to Israel. Why Israel? My husband indicated that he would love to see Bruno Mars in concert. We researched to find that Bruno Mars was performing in Israel at this time. We were extremely excited with the Israel destination, because our plans was to see all of these historical and biblical location in the bible. We planned to be baptized in the Jordan river where John baptized Jesus Christ. Walk the streets of Jerusalem, visit the tomb of Jesus’ resurrection, swim in the Dead Sea and more.

However, Shortly after arriving in Israel the war broke out and we spent the our entire vacation trying to return home. With the prayers of our friends and family we prevailed. GOD brought my family home safely without a scratch, not even a hair on our heads was harmed. We witnessed missiles streaming through the air and military copters overhead, people scurrying to the bomb shelters and singing songs of prayer in Hebrew. We also witnessed the power of God sending angels to lead and guide us, protecting us and providing guidance to bring us home safely.

But our journey can’t compare to the atrocities and suffering of the innocent victims by no fault of their own, caught up in this war. They are losing their lives, love ones, homes, everything. So let all of us to continue to pray without ceasing for their safety, safe return of the hostages, peace, give the leader’s of this world wisdom and GOD’s will be done on earth.
