Starting a big network remediation today for as client. Today will be spent decommissioning equipment that is no longer in use to make room for the new backboard and network cabinet. Here is a picture of today's scope of work.

I read an interesting article yesterday about car insurance companies secretly accessing your cell phone data to score drivers.

If you have an app on your smartphone from your car insurance company, it could be storing and sending GPS data back to your insurance company. I would seriously recommend deleting those apps as soon as possible. There are other third party apps that might be selling your data. Family Location Trackers like Life 360, FamiSafe and mySpy.

Your cellphone provider may also be selling your location data. Sensors in you smartphone can record the speed and location (GPS) acceleration and braking (accelerometers) I have also heard stories about auto manufacturers selling your cars "black box) data.

CEH Consulting is pleased to announce that we signed a contract to service ChargePoint Electric Vehicle charging stations. ChargePoint is the largest and most open vehicle charging network in the world, offering drivers access to 200,000 charging stations through their network.

Just some before and after pictures from a recent SD-WAN upgrade project that I did for a customer. The Cisco 2911 router was EOL (End of Life) and was replaced with a Juniper Router with connectivity to a cable modem and a 4G LTE modem. An Aruba switch was added to replace the integrated switch in the 2911.

Have a nice car? Thieves are using Apple Airtags (an inexpensive Bluetooth tracking device) to target you and your car. The Airtag has a feature where if can report its location via other Apple devices that are not registered to it. So the thieves place the Airtag on your car. And watch your movement until they figure out where and when is a good time to steal your car.

Apple phones can automatically scan for Airtags. You can also scan for Airtags using the "Tracker Detect" App on Android phones.
