How I See God

As a teenager I would often hide the whole truth of my mishaps. I was convinced my parents would lose their minds if I told them the truth (spoiler alert: they never did).

I think we go through similar trepidation when it comes to coming to Jesus Christ with uncomfortable confessions.

What's interesting though, is that one of the most embarrassing encounters Jesus had was met with absolutely no condemnation.

A woman who was in the very act of adultery was caught and dragged to the feet of Jesus. After dismissing the onlookers to the event, he spoke with her in private.

He acknowledge that those who had brought her were no longer there to condemn her followed by "Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more" (John 8:11).

His response to a high stakes situation was kind. Imagine how He will respond to you.

Give Him a chance.
