Sparta is celebrating 150 years with its first-ever Founders Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4 in the Sparta Historic District.
Make plans to explore downtown, grab something good to eat, browse local vendors, catch live music, and don’t miss the parade at 10:30 AM.
There’s also a pie bake off, which feels like a very good reason to show up. 🥧

13,000+ ducks. That’s a lot of ducks. 🦆
This year’s Sertoma Duck Race Festival set a new record with more than 13,000 duck adoptions helping support local children’s charities.
This annual Ozark tradition brings people together for a fun weekend while helping support local children’s charities through Sertoma.
Congratulations to CCCC Sertoma, Hot Air Balloon Glow in Southwest Missouri, the volunteers, sponsors, duck adopters, and everyone who helped make this year’s race such a success!
From setup to glow time. 🎈✨
The balloons went up, the crowd rolled in, and Finley River Park turned into one of those summer nights you just want to replay.
