Taxes paid on oil and natural gas production:

Ad Valorem: 2%

Severance: 4.6% (Oil) 7.5% (Natural Gas)

Royalties Paid (Federal Properties): 12.5%

Then add the federal and state taxes paid at the pump which amounts to billions of tax dollars paid each year!

These taxes are not paid when using electric powered vehicles. So where does the federal,state and local governments go to replace this tax revenue?
