I choose the best technique based off your curls, your hair and actual need. I choose a hybrid approach bc my experience has taught it me it’s not a one size fits all. Some curls do wonderful with a dry cut and some do wonders wet. All of this we can discuss at your appointment as the “why”.

build up and impurities can cause curls to be unmanageable and we transform curls with this must have detox

• we include a proper Cleansing session for your curls coupled with relaxing hydration treatment. (I’ve been known for some bomb head massages 💆‍♀️)

This Curl Queen needed a refresh and I added a picture of her before, during her dry cut and after with styling.

It’s a good example of adding in layers even when we want to keep our length and her curl pattern is softer at root and grows into gorgeous curl clumps.

I’m often asked about making the hair “curlier” on top or if our hair is laying flat what can we do?

✴️drying with purpose.

Clips can help immensely to lift the root. A longer duck bill style used around hairline might be the key 🔑 or if you use a diffuser try using a chopstick 🥢 to lift the hair up at crown while hover diffusing.

Using a foam or mouse scrunched up into the root for volume and texture. Will also add a little bit of styling memory but super lightweight.
