Spokane VA Medical Center always showing up for Veterans and supporting our community.

We had the honor of helping organize and take part in the Heroes Walk + Fun Run 2026 at Riverfront Park, and the energy out there was something special. Seeing the community come together, all wearing yellow ribbons in support of those in active duty and deployed, was powerful. Moments like that remind us what it’s really about showing up, honoring their stories, recognizing their sacrifice, and standing behind our troops every step of the way.

Participants wore a yellow ribbon to walk in honor of those in active duty and the deployed. COURAGE to stand up for our men and women by honoring their story, recognize their service and support our troops!
