The 509 Garage

The 509 Garage is growing and we are looking for an experienced full-time Automotive Technician.

We are a small, owner-operated shop with a large loyal customer base (check out all the 5 star Google reviews from our customers). We value our team members and encourage a positive work enviroment, so spread the word and help us fill this position!

Here is what we offer our employees:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm .... No weekends!
Hourly pay - average $25-$35 hour (depending on experience)

Our ideal candidate will have:

Valid Drivers License

Experience working as an Automotive technicican - 3 or more years working in a professional shop OR graduated from an accedited Automotive trade school with certifications

We pay more per hour for ASE certified technicians!

Hello Friends,

We are in the midst of some pretty wild times; I hope everyone is doing well!

I apologize for the delay in sending this post - it’s been a crazy whirl-wind since we’ve returned from vacation. We would like to share some information with you regarding the state of our business:

Because of our loyal customer base our small business is currently on solid ground. With that being said, we are trying our best to do the right thing for our employees, our customers, our community and of course the future of our business.

The 509 Garage is owned and operated by Pat & Dawn Wynne. You all have met Pat, but Dawn (that’s me!) runs things behind the scenes. We have 3 technicians: Sean, Chris & Jason.

As we all grapple with the Covid19 epidemic and the social challenges we are all asked to do to squash this virus, we’ve had to navigate the balance of being socially responsible and yet keep food on all of our tables. At this tIme The 509 Garage is open regular days & regular hours. Auto Repair falls under the “essential business” guidelines which will allow us to continue working. We hope to keep our team working as many as hours as possible although much like a lot of businesses, we are taking things week by week. Here are the steps we are taking to keep our customers and employees safe at The 509 Garage:

Door handles, keypads, bathroom, flat surfaces & furniture are cleaned frequently each day with Clorox bleach
Technicians will not interact with customers to reduce face to face interactions
All employees will wear clean gloves inside all customer cars - no bare skin will touch customer interiors
Pat will be the only one to interact with customers; he will wash hands and use hand sanitizer between customer interactions

If you are uncomfortable with public interactions but are in need of car repairs, give us a call and we can accommodate most requests. The easiest accommodation is to use our outside Key Drop and call or email us with instructions as to what you need and your contact info. If you are complying with the Stay At Home order but need car repairs, give us a call - we may be able to accommodate a pick up / delivery (case by case).

Looking for someone that has extensive experience, ASE certifications (or equivalent training). Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot late model vehicles.
