This Friday, June 5th is National Donut Day and Retro Donuts will be honoring the "Doughnut" by celebrating its BIRTHDAY and giving away extra donuts with your purchase.

National Donut Day is celebrated in the United States on the first Friday of June each year. The 'sweet holiday' originated in 1938 when The Salvation Army created it to honor their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. These brave volunteers, known as Donut Lassies, baked and delivered donuts to boost morale on the battlefield. In fact, they’re credited with popularizing the donut in the U.S. after the troops returned from Europe.
