Every garment that came down the runway last week carried a unique story. It is one thing to sew a seam; it's an entirely different level of mastery to engineer a piece of wearable art that commands the room.
Our high school fashion design students didn't just put on a show. They shared their narratives, their resourcefulness, and their boldest ideas through structure, texture, and movement. To truly appreciate that level of craftsmanship, you need an artist behind the lens who understands how to capture the kinetic energy of a live runway.
That is exactly what local Spokane photographer Melaine Williams ( ) brought to our 8th Annual Fashion Show. Her beautiful photography doesn’t just document an event, it honors the intricate design details and the fierce confidence of our youth. Melaine has a profound gift for capturing the exact moment a piece of fabric transforms into a statement.
We are so incredibly grateful for the Spokane arts community and professionals like Melaine who consistently show up to elevate our students. When local creatives use their platform to highlight emerging student designers, our entire creative ecosystem thrives.
