This Memorial Day, we pause to remember Maj. David “Dave” Gray and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Dave was a highly respected member of the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) community who was killed in Afghanistan in 2012 while serving alongside fellow Americans. He was known as a leader, mentor, and someone deeply committed to those around him.

For Rich, this remembrance is deeply personal. Dave was Rich’s selection cadre and later became a mentor, whose leadership and influence left a lasting impact.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service, and to remember the families, friends, and fellow service members who carry their memory forward.

Today, we remember Dave Gray and all of our fallen heroes with gratitude and respect.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
