It's BiVisiblity Day! Bi people are often the forgotten part of the LGBTQ+ community. Bi individuals may experience a number of negative stereotypes such as being greedy, incapable of monogamy or unable to make up their minds--this last is the same as saying bi individuals aren't real. Bi individuals may face discrimination and exclusion from within the LGBTQ+ community, increasing marginalization. Su***de rates for bi individuals are higher than gay, le***an, or hetero people. What you can do: Learn about bi experiences and the unique challenges faced, call out bi-phobia and harmful stereotypes, don't assume s*xual orientation on the basis of current partner, look for ways to increase bi representation everywhere. Think of one thing in your daily life you can do to help 🌈
