Love this reel. This is one of the many reasons pediatric occupational therapist use play in their therapy sessions!!!!

Research shows that children learn best through play, but this fact shows just how important play is! Sometimes when teaching a new skill, it can feel like you practice it over and over and students still aren’t getting it. Well that’s because it could take 400 repetitions for them to get it. It’s not their fault…that’s how the brain works! But imagine if we took the time to teach the same skills with play-based activities. It could make a world of difference in our students’ learning! A fun inexpensive fine motor game! You can use any small figurine and even swap out popsicle sticks with tongue depressors for a wider surface for smaller fingers and unsteady younger hands 🙌
