So much learning happens at this age and I am honored to get to be a part of it! We have two emerging readers, and right now there is a language explosion happening in the classroom! Practical life is always big, as are games and art, gluing in particular. As always, we are learning every second how to be a kind, contributing part of a community. What huge concepts these children are exploring!

Such a gorgeous last few weeks we have had!

Numbers are a big focus right now, as is learning to encode and decode written English! The children are working hard with phonetic objects, the moveable alphabet, and so much more! As always, cleaning and maintaining the classroom is part of the children’s daily work. For every mess, there is a way they can clean up themselves. Of course, we help as necessary.

We’ve had some truly joy-filled days together, and we look forward to more to come!

Spring is here!! March was gorgeous; watching our property come alive again is my favorite thing about this season!

Check out what we’ve been doing and learning! Language is exploding right now; we have two new readers and they are inspiring the rest of the class! Our outside time is probably my favorite time of day, full of swinging, climbing, running, bubbles, and so much fun!

Ms. Haley loves to read to the littles, and the children enjoy it so much. We added a friend, the African side neck turtle, to our classroom, and, as usual, Sprinkles the chameleon got lots of love.

Hi friends!

Trying to gauge interest in a Wednesday afternoon American Sign Language class for ages eight and up, beginning in March.

This class would be designed for older children and their families. We will read stories, practice conversational skills, play games, and much more.

Tuition is $50 per month, and registration and payment must be made in advance.

We have a great time learning vocabulary, practicing fingerspelling, improving conversational skills, reading books, playing games, and more!
