What an incredible blessing to celebrate the Easter Vigil this evening. Our good Lord worked beautifully in so many souls as He poured out His grace. In particular, 16 were baptized, 6 received into communion with the Catholic Church, 25 Confirmed, all received the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. Thank you to all our amazing and dedicated staff and volunteers who gave of their time, talent, and treasure and helped us all to be a bridge to Christ. It was beautiful to see the smiles on the faces of the newly baptized as they received this sacrament and the tears on their faces after they received our Eucharistic Lord. To God be all the glory, now and for ever! Jesus has risen, just as He said He would. He is faithful, living, and active in our lives.

On Good Friday, we reflect in the liturgy on the Holy Cross of our Lord Jesus, which held the weight of His sacred Body and was stained with His precious Blood. Upon the wood of the Holy Cross hung the salvation of the whole world. Consider how the God-man’s offering of Himself in sacrifice redeemed every human soul. Let it sink in that this is the cost of every human soul — the Son of God the Father offering His life in sacrifice. We understand more deeply how valuable every human life is in the light of the Holy Cross. How do I honor this sacrifice in my daily living? How do I share this message of Christ crucified with those who have never heard of such divine mercy and love? Let us live for Him who has died for us.
