It is easy to become so focused on the blessings that we lose sight of the One who gave them. We pray for provision, opportunities, relationships, healing, and favor, and when they come, our attention can quietly shift from the Giver to the gifts. Yet our greatest inheritance has never been what God places in our hands.
Our greatest inheritance is God Himself.
The real question is not whether we will pursue blessings, but whether we will treasure the Blesser above them. Every day presents opportunities to choose between temporary gain and deeper intimacy with God. Don’t let success, money, busyness, or even answered prayers distract you from the One who loves you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. When you seek the Blesser first, every blessing finds its proper place.
