On May 19, 2026, at approximately 11:59 a.m., the Spring Valley Police Department responded to the parking lot of 175 East Route 59 following a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. Responding officers interviewed the victim, who reported that an unknown individual had shattered the front driver-side window of his vehicle and stolen a wallet containing cash and credit cards.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the stolen credit cards had been used at the Palisades Center Mall. Detectives responded to the scene and conducted a thorough investigation. As a result of the investigation, 29 year-old Sydeesa Sisco of Spring Valley and 33-year-old Terrence Rabel of Spring Valley were arrested on May 26, 2026.
Both defendants were charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, and Petit Larceny. Mr. Rabel was also charged in connection with two additional vehicle larceny investigations, while Ms. Sisco was charged in connection with one additional vehicle larceny investigation.
Both defendants were arraigned before the Honorable Judge Sweet and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

On January 31, 2026, the Spring Valley Police Department received a report of a robbery that occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. in the area of 50 South Main Street. The victim reported being assaulted at knifepoint by three unknown males, during which two gold chains were forcibly taken. The victim sustained injuries to the face and neck.
Following an extensive investigation by the Detective Bureau, three suspects were identified and arrested:
• Dario Hernandez-Vasquez, 32, of Spring Valley – arrested February 10, 2026
• Santiago T. Tzalam, 46, of Spring Valley – arrested March 24, 2026
• Martin D. Campos-Veliz, 37, of the Bronx – arrested March 24, 2026
All three were charged with multiple counts of Robbery in the First Degree (Class B Felony) and Robbery in the Second Degree (Class C Felonies). Campos-Veliz was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanors).
Each defendant was arraigned in the Village of Spring Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Jail on bail of $10,000 cash, $50,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond.
