Day 10 — Connect With Someone Safe
A quick and heartfelt note before today’s tip: I want to apologize for not sharing these daily practices as promptly as planned. This season has been full—between moving offices, getting ready for Christmas, celebrating what feels like a million birthdays, and even being a bit under the weather. Still, I recognize how important steady support can be, which is why I’m sharing this with you today—yes, even during swim practice—because it matters. 💛
Today’s gentle invitation is simple:
Send one text. Make one call. Invite someone for coffee.
This isn’t about fixing anything or finding the perfect words. It’s about choosing someone who feels emotionally safe—someone who lets you show up as you are, without pressure or explanation. Even brief moments of connection can help calm the nervous system and remind us we don’t have to hold everything alone during a busy season.
If reaching out feels hard, go gently. There’s no “right” way to do this. A short message, a check-in, or even shared silence counts.
You don’t have to do the holidays perfectly.
Small, safe connections can make a meaningful difference.
