It is so hard to catch these ”motion of black fur” in a photo showing the contrast of the 5 black & tan versus the 3 all black (green & red @ 9 o’clock with Karma, formally Tater at 2:30 with gray collar not showing). The tan is really developing on the paws and below the elbows / knees and some even on the face, however black is the rich dominant color. Their personality is starting to show, they are such a joy to watch. Abby is right there if a strange sound comes from the pen, or someone goes near them. If one of them gets out she will show her displeasure by mouthing them & pushing with her nose. Today, I left the gate open for over 5 hours with only one puppy getting out.

Houston Rodeo Roundup - This morning we borrowed an idea for photographing the puppies that Sarah Clark (czechworkingdogs.com) & / or Michelle Kilpatrick (Aus Der Asche) used. Trying to keep 8 active (hungry) puppies from walking off the sofa with Abby circling us was a true “roundup”, I needed Quigley or Crosstown Cat (my cutting horse) to bunch them up.
