Decluttering can be an emotional and challenging journey. It usually isn't the item itself that makes it difficult to let go, but the memory/memories attached to it.

If you are finding it hard to let go of things, try one of these strategies:

📹📝Record or write the story of the item either in a memory book or a digital journal.

🎁 Pass meaningful items down to family members or friends who will appreciate them and use them. (Remember to ask them first and not assume that they will want the item.)

🪎 Keep a "treasure box" or display your most treasured keepsakes instead of storing dozens of boxes.

❓ Ask yourself: "Am I keeping this because I truly love it, or do I feel guilty of letting it go?"

✅ Remember that you are not erasing your past. You are making room to live your life today and to shape your future.

It’s official, the Texas heat has won for the summer! This was the last garage project of the season for Zensational Organizing! 🪷

As much as I love transforming garages into functional spaces, unless your garage needs a quick refresh for the sale of your home or you are moving into a new home and need help getting settled, I will be pausing garage organizing projects until October.
