Texas friends, we’re finally to the point of the year where it’s not completely unbearable to do photos outside. So really, it’s the perfect time to do a beach/water session!

Whether it’s a maternity beach session, solo or couples river or lake session, let’s cool off from this heat together while you get stunning photos!

For the artsy creative type, I’ve been trying to do a specific photos for YEARS. I would need one woman who isn’t afraid of getting wet or trying the same thing a few times (potentially multiple locations) while I nail this image. I refuse to share this idea until it is booked because I don’t want my idea used with another photographer. :)

What’s holding you back from doing a photo shoot? I hear different things all the time, but I want to talk about a few of the biggest ones.

“I’m so awkward on camera”
SAME, but that’s where I come in as the professional. I get the best images when people are just being themselves. Posing and prompts are great but they are just building blocks to the real moments. My clients and I are usually talking and laughing through every session so that “awkward” feeling fades quickly!

“I don’t like the way my body looks”
As most of the photography I do is geared towards women (boudoir/maternity) I hear this A LOT, and it breaks my heart every time. You are beautiful EXACTLY how you are, and my job is to show you what I see. I’ll help guide you through poses and prompts that work for your body type and we will look at the photos together as we move through the shoot so that little by little, you see what a bombshell you actually are!

“It’s so expensive”
I understand that everyone’s financial situation is different but if you can find a way to budget and invest in professional photos, do it. It’s always worth it. Those images will create memories that will last a lifetime and that’s priceless. I hear too often, I wish I had done maternity/boudoir pictures, I’ll never get that time back. Don’t be that person filled with regret! I’m always willing to talk about payment plans or options to bring your dreams to life!

Moral of the story: talk to your photographer. If there worth their salt, they’ll talk you through your fears and hesitation and provide you with an experience that is worth every penny! ✨
