Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL license
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC card)
1 year experience
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Acceptable driving record
Professional, mature, and responsible attitude and work ethics
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transporting shipments to and from plants or distribution centers
Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items,safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
Retain fuel/toll receipts
Log HOS appropriately using ELD
Comply with trucking driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Complete shipment documents properly
Report defects, accidents and violations
Skills and Qualifications:
Long-distance driving
Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
Securing cargo
Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
