Working on correcting Reverse Spine Angle during his backswing! Check out this Half Kneeling Lift. Notice how his (L) side is elevated in order to level out his pelvis and start from a true neutral position.

RSA is one of the leading causes of lower back pain among golfers.

Typically, we see golfers start to compensate with RSA due to mobility restrictions in the thoracic spine (mid-back) and hips. The lower back is forced to pick up the slack in order to create more rotation in the backswing.

This can also lead to golfers losing posture (standing up) in the backswing or coming in over the top on the downswing!

Reverse Spine Angle during the golf swing is any excessive upper body backward bend (trunk leaning towards the target) or excessive lateral upper body bend toward the target.
