Beacon Light Bible Church
Beacon Light Bible Church is a non-denominational ministry. Our goal is to raise up an army of believers who's on fire for the lost, hurting, and destitute
Good morning,
It's the weekend! Happy July 20, 2024.
Today, let's explore the paradoxical power of weakness; found in our verse for today.
2 Corinthians 12:10 says, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:10
Remember those old-school night lights? The ones with cracks in the ceramic that let the light shine through in beautiful patterns? That's what Paul's talking about in 2 Corinthians 12:10.
We often try to plaster over our weaknesses, to present a perfect, uncracked facade. But Paul suggests something radical: what if our flaws are actually conduits for God's light? Even more, what if they're the very source of our true strength?
This isn't about celebrating failure or glorifying suffering. It's about recognizing that our imperfections don't disqualify us from God's use—they uniquely qualify us. It's in our brokenness that God's strength becomes most visible. Paradoxically, it's when we're at our weakest that we can be at our strongest.
Think about it: when are we most relatable to others? Often, it's when we're vulnerable about our struggles. When do we lean most heavily on God, allowing His power to work through us? Usually, in our moments of inadequacy.
So today, let's shift our perspective. Instead of hiding our weaknesses, let's hold them up to the light. Because in God's hands, our cracks don't make us worthless. They make us lanterns, imperfectly perfect channels for His light to shine through. And in that shining, we find a strength far beyond our own.
Ask Yourself:
How can I view my current struggles as opportunities for God's strength?
In what ways have I seen God's power shine through my weaknesses before?
Have a blessed day!
Let's 🙏:
Dear Lord,
As I step into today, I'm holding onto Paul's words about finding strength in weakness. It's kind of wild how You use our cracks to let Your light shine through. On days when I feel broken, help me remember that these are the moments You can use me most.
When I'm tempted to hide my flaws, remind me that You're the artist who creates beauty from brokenness. Help me to see the bigger picture. When I feel inadequate, show me how Your strength works best in weakness.
I'm asking for that paradoxical strength You give, the kind that doesn't make sense but always makes a difference. And if there's someone out there feeling weak today, help me share the hope You've given me.
Thanks for being the light in our imperfections, making us beautiful in unexpected ways.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

It's Word Tuesday December 12, 2023.
Let's start this day by embracing the joyful message of Psalm 150:6, inviting us to fill every moment with praise and gratitude.
David tells us in our
Verse of the Day
Psalms 150:6,
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
As we reflect on
Psalm 150:6 this isn't just a verse; it's a joyful invitation to celebrate the presence of God in our lives. It reminds us that every breath is a gift, an opportunity to express our thankfulness and joy. This verse encourages us to look beyond our circumstances and see the constant reasons we have to praise God.
Imagine if we approached each day as an opportunity to find joy in the ordinary and the extraordinary. Whether it's appreciating the beauty of a sunrise, the laughter of a child, or the comfort of a friend, each moment offers us a chance to acknowledge God's hand at work.
Even in challenging times, this verse calls us to maintain a spirit of praise. It's in these moments of praise amidst trials that our faith deepens, and our trust in God's plan strengthens. Let's challenge ourselves to keep a thankful heart, turning each obstacle into an opportunity to glorify God.
Today, let's live out Psalm 150:6. Let's fill our day with praise for the One who blesses us in countless ways. Whether through song, prayer, or acts of kindness, let every action we take be a reflection of our gratitude towards God.
Ask Yourself:
What small moments today can I be thankful for? How can I keep my heart thankful, even when I face challenges?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I welcome the light of this new day, my heart is filled with gratitude for Your constant presence and endless grace. In every moment, both bright and challenging, I find countless reasons to praise You.
God, infuse my daily life with an awareness of Your goodness. Help me to recognize the small blessings that often go unnoticed – a shared laugh, a moment of quiet, the beauty in nature and use them as opportunities to offer You praise.
In times of difficulty or doubt, grant me the strength to turn to You with a praising heart. Let my faith be expressed not only in words but in a deep-seated joy that withstands life's trials. May my trust in You shine through, becoming a beacon of hope and encouragement to others.
Lord, as I go about my day, let every action I take and every word I speak be a testament to Your love and a reflection of my gratitude. May my life be a living praise to You, celebrating Your mercy and love in all I do.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!
Have an amazing God filled day!

Let's talk about Victory in our lives this morning.
Are you tired of always being in the losing end. Or should I say, do you feel like you are always on the losing end.
Well as Children of God we never lose. Why? Because Jesus has given us the victory.
To overcome we need to look at the principles God has set in place for us. Join me as we look at the four principles for the next several days.
Exodus 17:6 says, "Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”
In this spiritual battle against the world, the devil, and the flesh, we can oftentimes be our own biggest enemies. In Exodus 17, God called the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and led them through the wilderness toward Canaan.
Reading this story as Christians, we see Egypt represents the world, Pharaoh the devil, and Canaan the victorious life. There are four principles of victory found in this passage.
First, we must receive a gracious provision. In Exodus 17, the Israelites were in the barren land, dying of thirst. God instructed Moses to strike a rock with his rod, and when he did, water gushed from the rock.
This is a glorious illustration of our salvation. Jesus, the rock of ages, was smitten for us. And the blood and water that flowed from His side represent the Holy Spirit.
Second, we must realize God’s grand purpose. God’s plan for His people was not merely that they come out of Egypt and go into the wilderness of Sinai. God’s plan for His people was that they go into the land of Canaan. God brought them out that He might bring them in. Many of us have been brought out of the world, but we’ve never experienced the victory of Canaan. But God has brought us out to bring us in.
THINK ON THIS:
Where can you recognize God’s gracious provision in your life? How is Christ the ultimate provision for every Christian?
Where do you question God’s purpose in your life? How is Exodus 17 an encouragement in this area?
TODAY DO THIS:
Read Exodus 17 today and take time to recognize God’s provision and purpose in this account.
