I am SUPER EXCITED to announce that I have verbally committed to the University of Kansas. I have received an academic and athletic scholarship to continue being a hurdler in the BIG 12! First, I would like to thank God for all he has blessed me with in my life and all the opportunities he’s given me. Through all the tough situations I’ve recently had to deal with, I’m grateful to be where I am today. I thank my mom and dad for everything they have done for me, and always being by my side every step of the way. They have blessed me with so much, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m so grateful to have my sister, Kaydence, and sister-in-law, Destanee, as my biggest cheerleaders! I also want to thank my brother/ coach Kahlil , he has been there for me since day one. He pushed me to be the best I could be even when I didn’t believe I could. Through my injury and all, he kept me confident in myself. He knew I would make it somewhere no matter what, and I have. All the family I’ve had in my corner is the best thing an athlete could ask for, and I wouldn’t trade them for anyone else. Lastly, I would like to tremendously thank Coach Fortenberry and Coach Redwine for believing in me from the beginning, seeing all of my potential on and off the track, and giving me the opportunity to reveal my talent and get better at an amazing university. Thank you for the exciting experience on campus and very thankful to the team for making me feel like I was in the right place and already a part. I love it!
