EPA has confirmed that the 2019 novel coronavirus-Wuhan (also 2019-nCoV) has met the conditions outlined in EPA’s emerging viral pathogens guidance and has triggered the emerging viral pathogen policy. Registrants may proceed to communicate as preapproved by EPA on the master label for an enveloped emerging viral pathogen. EPA also confirmed that for registrants who have not been preapproved for the emerging viral pathogen policy language, requests to add the claim/s should be submitted to the agency for consideration as described in the policy (FQPA or PRIA).
