Former Marshall Student Spotlight:
We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of Chanté Davis, a former Spring area student whose journey began at Marshall Elementary, continued through Roberson Middle School and Spring Early College Academy, and led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Conservation from Duke University. Today, Chanté is a respected marine scientist, climate activist, conservation advocate, and storyteller. She has served as a leader in the Sunrise Movement, organized a 400-mile Gulf South climate march from New Orleans to Houston, founded One Oysean to increase representation in marine science and conservation, and become a recognized advocate for shark conservation, environmental justice, and ocean accessibility. Through her work with numerous environmental organizations and appearances in media outlets, podcasts, and educational programs, Chanté continues to inspire young people to pursue their passions, make a difference in their communities, and protect our planet. Her remarkable journey is a testament to the power of education, perseverance, and leadership.
