Today, we celebrate more than fireworks and freedom—we celebrate 250 years of courage, sacrifice, and the unwavering spirit that has made America the greatest nation on Earth.

At Combat Marine Outdoors, we are forever grateful to the brave men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. To our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, Guardians, Veterans, First Responders, and the families who stand beside them—thank you. Your service and sacrifice have protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Freedom has never been free. It has been earned and preserved by generations of patriots willing to answer the call, often at great personal cost. As we gather with family and friends today, let us pause to remember those who gave everything so that we could live in liberty.

CMO remains committed to serving those who have served by providing opportunities for healing, camaraderie, and purpose through the outdoors. Whether it’s around a campfire, on the water, in the woods, or simply spending time with brothers and sisters who understand, we will continue our mission of ensuring no warrior walks alone.

As America begins its next chapter, may we continue to stand united, honor our heroes, and pass on the values of service, freedom, and patriotism to the generations that follow.

☀️🇺🇸 CMO Family Fun Day at Coleto Creek Park! 🎣🏖️

Combat Marine Outdoors invites all of our veterans and military families to join us for an incredible day of fun, relaxation, and camaraderie at beautiful Coleto Creek Park!

Bring the entire family and enjoy everything the park has to offer. Spend the day swimming at the sandy beach, cast a line from the fishing pier for bass, crappie, and catfish, or launch your own boat or jet ski and enjoy a day on the water. Whether you’re looking to fish, swim, relax, or simply spend quality time with great people, there’s something for everyone.

🌭 FREE food and drinks will be provided for everyone who attends!

Best of all, park entrance is FREE for CMO families who register for the event. Please register before event.

At Combat Marine Outdoors, we believe some of the greatest healing happens through laughter, shared experiences, and time spent with those who understand the military community. Come reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and create lasting memories with your family in the great outdoors.

Some weekends are about fishing. Others are about healing. This one was about both.

Combat Marine Outdoors would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Mark Lair & Jami Wallish Lair for their incredible generosity in blessing three deserving veterans with an unforgettable experience on the beautiful shores of Dauphin Island, Alabama.

From the moment they arrived, our warriors were welcomed with genuine hospitality and kindness. They stayed in a beautiful beachfront home where the sound of the waves replaced the stress of everyday life. They enjoyed incredible home-cooked surf-and-turf meals, breathtaking sunsets, and the opportunity to simply slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

A special thank you also goes to Kurt from Captain Kurt’s Charters for making sure these warriors had an unforgettable day on the water. From the moment they stepped aboard his beautiful boat, they were treated to an incredible experience filled with laughter, camaraderie, and adventure. His hospitality and dedication helped make this trip even more meaningful as the warriors ventured 25 miles into the Gulf of America in search of trophy Red Snapper.

The adventure also included a tour of historic Fort Gaines, allowing the group to explore an important part of our nation’s history while continuing to build friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

While the fishing was outstanding, the greatest catch wasn’t measured in pounds—it was the renewed hope, laughter, friendships, and peace these veterans found during their time together.
The impact of these trips doesn’t end when our warriors head home. Their families often tell us they notice brighter smiles, calmer hearts, and stronger connections. Time away surrounded by people who genuinely care reminds our veterans that they are valued, appreciated, and never alone.

To Mark & Jami, thank you for your servant hearts, your patriotism, and for loving America’s heroes so well. To Kurt and Captain Kurt’s Charters, thank you for providing an unforgettable day on the water and helping create memories these warriors will cherish forever. Thank you to Becky and David also for being a big part of this weekend with your conversations and cooking.

And to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who stands behind Combat Marine Outdoors—you are changing lives. Because of you, our mission continues, one warrior, one family, and one adventure at a time.

Healing happens in many ways. Sometimes it’s through a conversation on a porch overlooking the ocean. Sometimes it’s while reeling in a fish miles offshore. Sometimes it’s simply knowing that someone cared enough to make it all possible.
