Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:30 AM class
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 4:30 PM class

About Us:
CrossFit OverTake is a dynamic and inclusive fitness community dedicated to helping our members achieve their health and fitness goals through challenging workouts and supportive coaching. We recognize the importance of providing a comprehensive experience for our members, and we are proud to offer on-site childcare services to enhance the convenience and accessibility of our programs.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Provider to join our team and support our members by ensuring a safe and enjoyable childcare environment during our scheduled classes. As the Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children in a positive and nurturing manner, allowing our members to focus on their workouts with peace of mind.

Responsibilities:
-Greet parents and children warmly upon arrival.
-Create a safe, clean, and welcoming childcare space.
-Supervise children during class hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
-Organize age-appropriate activities to keep children entertained and engaged.
-Communicate effectively with parents about any concerns, needs, or updates.
-Maintain accurate attendance records of children in your care.
-Adhere to gym policies and procedures, especially those related to child safety.
-Assist with light cleaning and sanitization of childcare area.

Requirements:
-Preferred experience working with children in a childcare, babysitting, or educational setting.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, patient demeanor.
-Ability to interact positively with children of various ages.
-Basic knowledge of child development and safety guidelines.
-Reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
-First Aid and CPR certification (preferred, but not required).
-Enthusiasm for fitness and an understanding of the CrossFit philosophy (a plus).

We are looking to add coaches to our staff here at CrossFit OverTake.

Accepting full-time and part-time coach applications. We are looking for someone that has a passion for coaching, fitness, and people. This is for someone who is looking to make coaching a career, and has prior coaching experience, or sufficient education in the field.

Full-time coaching position includes annual potential salary pay anywhere from $20,000 - $40,000

Coaches must be able to teach the CrossFit methodology through smooth and effective classes, while ensuring a safe and fun environment.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

🔹Have a professional and friendly attitude
🔹Bring positive energy to each class
🔹Be able to demonstrate and execute proper movement and technique
🔹Be able to properly explain order of operations to potential clients

🔹Is open to giving and receiving feedback
🔹Display good communication and people skills
🔹Must align with and cultivate gym culture and core values
🔹Assistance with gym maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep
🔹Must attend monthly coaches meetings
🔹Constantly seek opportunities to become a better coach through furthering education workshops and certifications

Meet Gordon.

Gordon has been with us at OverTake about 2 years now. He is a regular in the afternoon classes at 4:30 and 5:30.

He is living proof of the results of persistence and hard work.

It may not have taken 3 months, 6 months, a year, or even a year and a half, but eventually things started to fall into place.

It wasn’t until recently until he re-discovered his WHY. It had always been there, but he decided he wanted to do something about it and make a change.

His WHY: “My wife and 2 girls.”

“I want my wife to be proud of who she stands next to in every aspect of our lives... I want to set a good example for my kids to lead a healthy and active lifestyle... I never want to have to think that if I miss something, it may have been because I didn’t put in all the work I could possibly have earlier on in life.”

After a few nutrition and lifestyle mindset changes, Gordon has lost 30 lbs in the course of about 6 months.

The biggest change for Gordon hasn’t been physical, but the mental change of how he approaches health the other 23 hours of the day outside the gym.

You’re an inspiration, Gordon. Keep up the good fight.

Humble Pie. 🍰

No matter how fit you are, the push ups in “Murph” are ALWAYS humbling.

All you have to do is sit back and eat that humble pie one bite at a time.

Hope everyone isn’t hurting too bad, and are being smart about taking the proper recovery measures this week.

Just remember, movement is the best form of recovery for sore muscles.

Blood flow: good. Sedentary: bad.
