MARY SHAW ...
Beware the stare of Mary Shaw
She had no children only dolls
If you see her in your dreams
Be sure you never ever scream
Or she’ll rip your tongue out by the seams.

Mary Shaw was born in the year 1869. As a child she had no friends, only her dolls but as an adult she became a famous ventriloquist. Single with no family Mary amassed a huge collection of ventriloquist dummies, each with their own name and personality. She cherished her dolls so much she regarded them as her children . Her favorite one was called Billy.
During the late 1930’s Mary performed her stage act at the Guignol theater in Ravens fair. During one particular show an attendee named a Michael Ashen rudely remarked he could see Mary’s lips move. Mary tried to hide her embarrassment and vented her frustration through her doll Billy. As Billy , Mary defended that the doll and her were two separate people. During this conversation though , strangely their voices began to overlap each other ! She ended the show by saying “who’s the dummy now?”
Behind closed doors however Mary could not forgive the young boys rude remarks . Her rage drove her to a point where she kidnapped him, killed him and hid him away amongst the dummies. When the boys disappearance was noticed throughout the town Mary was immediately suspected . Members of the Ashen family and others stormed her dressing room . They murdered her by forcing her to scream and then ripping out her tongue , silencing the ventriloquists voice forever .. or so they thought .
The story of Mary Shaw did not end with her death however . Her spirit rose from the grave to avenge itself against the families of Ravens Fair . Working through her dolls , she haunted the townsfolk , murdering lots of people . She murdered anyone who screamed upon seeing her . Bodies were discovered , faces sunken , ashen grey with their tongues ripped from their bodies.
Mary soon became a figure of legend and the people of Ravens fair were scared to even speak her name .The nursery rhyme above was circulated amongst local children for years, warning them against the actions of the ghost of Mary Shaw.
Another alternate rhyme was as follows ..
Beware the stare of Mary Shaw, she had no children only dolls ,
If you see her in your dreams , be sure you never ever scream .
If she finds you remember this ..there’s only one thing that can save you .....
SILENCE.

SURFSIDE BEACH / FORT VELASCO
Fort Velasco was a small circular palisade fort built by a garrison of Mexican soldiers at what would become known as Velasco at the present day location of Surfside Beach, near Galveston on the northeast bank at the mouth of the Brazos River and the Texas Gulf coast , but did you know of it’s many hauntings ? From ghostly soldiers to phantom sailors and pirates to even tales of the Devil himself ! A ghost by the name of Geoffrey can be heard running the beach at night screaming. Ghostly pirates who still guard their hidden gold have shown their gnarly apparitions to many visitors and have even given chase! The remains of the old garrison still remain to this day .. unfortunately so do the original “residents” who refuse to leave .

WHY DO GHOSTS WALK THROUGH WALLS ?
We can’t be too sure, but this is a pretty compelling theory…
Many times, when you speak with someone who has witnessed an apparition, they claim it passed through a closed door, a solid wall, or even climbed a flight of stairs that is not there.
While ghosts are still a blossoming research field with no hard facts, this is still a detail that gets even the most experienced researcher scratching their heads. If spirits can potentially move objects to show their presence, then how might they be able to pass through solid objects such as walls?
One theory focuses on residual hauntings, and it is pretty compelling.
A residual haunt (for those of you who are unfamiliar with the term), is when a spirit seems to be playing on repeat. Maybe they always cry out at midnight or they’re forever walking down a specific hallway or looking out that one window in particular. They do not interact with the living in any way–no conversations, no acknowledgments, nothing. One might say that they are on “autopilot” reliving a specific moment in their life, even if it was hundreds of years ago. It’s possible that this “autopilot” mode goes even further and follows the path that a person may have walked in life. Perhaps there was a staircase in a home that has since been moved… yet that childlike ghost still plays on an unseen staircase. She may appear to float in the air to us, while to her, she is simply playing on the stairs. Maybe a new set of walls has been constructed recently, seemingly cutting off the path an apparition might follow. Our physical walls cannot interact with the residual journey that Victorian male ghost will eternally walk, making it appear as though he is walking right into a wall… when he is simply walking along a hallway that we no longer see. What do you think ? Have you seen a ghost walk through a wall ?

This Ventriloquist doll was found in The Rio Grande, Mexico border when the water levels dropped after a drought . I’m pretty sure it was put there for a reason !!! Apparently it scared the locals so much they tried to set fire to it and it would not burn 😳 Would you keep it ???
